Welcome To ALMA AVALON

Established in 2017, Alma Avalon brings a fresh and flavorful twist to coastal Mexican street cuisine, right in the heart of Avalon Beach.

Located at 47 Old Barrenjoey Road, Alma blends the laid-back charm of the Northern Beaches with bold, contemporary Mexican flavors. Our menu is inspired by the vibrant street food scenes of Mexico’s coastal towns, with a strong focus on locally sourced seafood and fresh produce.

From tacos and tostadas to inventive share plates and handcrafted cocktails, Alma offers a next-level dining experience in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Whether you're a local or just passing through, you'll find honest food, good vibes, and a taste of Mexico by the beach.

Our DRINKS

Not just a pretty venue, Alma is committed to bringing you a seasonal cocktail menu that will be sure to elevate your dining experience. Curated by Group Beverage Manager Austin Andrews-Little the list aims to utilize produce featured in Australia and Mexico to highlight combinations you may not have considered, but will definitely enjoy.

Our FOOD

With a focus on fresh, locally sourced seafood. Alma’s menu features flavours of coastal Mexico and combines them with produce found on the east coast of Australia to provide you with a dining experience like no other. Dishes are created to share in order to evoke authentic connections around the dining table.

“This airy Avalon go-to is made for sipping tequila cocktails, feasting on fresh seafood and kicking back with mates. Located just metres from the beach, this spot is popular — and for good reason. It's got that casual northern beaches vibe, but it's the next-level Mexican fare that'll keep you coming back.”

The daily telegraph

“People are heading to Alma for their delicious and authentic coastal Mexican food. And this isn’t some generic Aussie-adaptation of Latin American dishes; instead, Jack and co-owner Tim Christensen went to the south coast of Oaxaca, Mexico to sample a vast array of the seafood-centric dishes.”

QANTAS INTERNATION MAGAZINE

“The laid-back Northern Beaches, about an hour’s drive from the CBD, is where city slickers go to get away from it all. Palm Beach has long been the king of the north but locals congregate in the elegant suburb of Avalon, with its chic restaurants such as Alma creating the heartbeat for a truly unique beachside community.”
